- On The Hunt Outdoors is a multi-species guide service, which means that we fish for just about everything that swims and chase the best bites for that time of year! Whether you want to learn how to fish, want to catch trophy fish, take a few home for a fish fry, or just have a fun and educational day on the water, you’ve found the right guide service.
- I will always recommend what I think to be the best bite possible – some times of year are better than others depending on the species! We fish with a mix of live bait and artificial baits like crank baits, doll fly and slabs to name a few. Being flexible and ready to switch gears for whatever the hot bite is. I truly enjoy teaching adults and kids how, what and why about fishing.

I can accommodate groups up to 4 people in my 20 ft. Ranger 620VS, powered by a 225 HP Yamaha two-stroke engine with 8 HP four-stroke Yamaha Kicker. Top of the line Garmin electronics, including Livescope, are also used on your trip.
CPR (catch, photo, release)
- We strongly believe in CPR (catch, photo, release) of larger fish. It’s the sportsman’s responsibility to protect the resource, but we know you like to take home some eaters as well. On the Hunt Outdoors' main focus will be on Walleye, White bass, and Wipers, but can make accommodations for crappie or catfishing with further discussion. Services do include cleaning and packaging your eater fish filets for you to take home if that is the route you choose.
- Although it is your right to keep a “limit,” we do follow certain guidelines with selective harvest on our guide trips to ensure fish for the future. All Walleyes over 24 inches, and Wiper over 24 inches are to be released. We prefer to be somewhat selective with white bass as well – we prefer to keep those white bass over 12 inches. For perspective, a one person white bass limit is 15 fish = 30 fillets – *Limit your keep vs. keeping your limit* All Nebraska Game and Parks Fishing Regulations will be followed.
What To Bring
- A current NE fishing license, or valid single day license. Permits - Nebraska Game and ParksNebraska Game and Parks | (outdoornebraska.gov).
- Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen (please, no spray on sunscreen or bug spray in the boat!)
- Rain gear & warm clothing
- Drinks & snacks (No Sunflower seeds please)
- Child life jacket (if under 12 years old)
- Small cooler/ice to transport your packaged fillets home
- Patience & a positive attitude
Guide Trip Rules
- All guided clients must possess a valid fishing license before the trip shall begin.
- All clients must show up on time. If they will be late, they must call and inform the guide ASAP. Extra time will not be added to trips due to the late arrival of a client. You will still be charged the full trip price.
- Guided trips during inclement weather will be at the discretion of the guide. Dress appropriately.
- Clients will be held responsible for any damage done to On The Hunt Outdoors property if determined excessive and/or intentional by the guide.
- On The Hunt Outdoors reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time for any reason.
